We often hear strange and sometimes funny “facts” about ED and erectile assisting products such as Viagra, some true and some so very false! But ED is no laughing matter. If you suffer from ED, please, see your doctor right away as there could be underlying causes. Here are some of the more common myths and here we try to set the record straight with the corresponding facts.

Myth: There is no treatment for ED
Fact: This couldn’t be further from the truth. ED is usually very treatable and is often caused by psychological issues which can be helped with counseling. Go to your doctor, they should point you in the right direction.

Myth: Using products like Viagra can cause stretch marks on your penis.
Fact: Yes, we actually have heard this one a few times. Using these types of products don’t increase the size of the penis, they simply help you get an erection. Therefore, you should not get any stretch marks.

Myth: If you have never suffered from ED, you never will
Fact: Unfortunately just because you have never suffered from ED, you may end up doing so at a later time. ED can be caused by lifestyle factors such as putting on weight, stress, drinking too much and more.

Myth: ED is just a normal part of getting older. Everyone will have it at an older age.
Fact: Ed is definitely more common for older men, but it does not have to be normal. You may need more sexual arousing then when you were younger, but you should still be able to remain sexually active.

Myth: Well I know that ED is not dangerous so I have no need to worry.
Fact: While ED itself is not dangerous, it can be an early sign of worse things to come such as diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure and more. This is why it is so important to go see your doctor if you are suffering from ED. It can often be more than just erectile dysfunction.
